I would love to do what the following scripture says to do
in a church meeting sometime with any man who would like to do it. That is, to
read, “The Revelation to John”, aloud. This scripture says it would be a
blessing to do it. If any man wants to be blessed, I believe this is a way to
be blessed. I’ve read it aloud by myself several times. It is a short book that
reads quite quickly, if you move right along without pausing. Every time I’ve
done it, it took about two hours with a couple of short breaks. I was blessed
by doing it.
The scriptures are the words to memorize. The scriptures are
more profitable in an eternal sense than memorizing Shakespeare, for example,
or any other words someone might memorize. Check out this promise, which I
believe is inspired by The Holy Spirit, from the Amplified Bible:
“Blessed (happy, to be envied) is the man who reads aloud
[in the assemblies] the word of this prophecy; and blessed (happy, to be
envied) are those who hear [it read] and who keep themselves true to the things
which are written in it [heeding them and laying them to heart], for the time
[for them to be fulfilled] is near.” (The Revelation to John 1:3) (“Scripture
