The prophet Solomon, who was considered the richest and
wisest king of Israel, wrote much of The Book of Proverbs, as well as
Ecclesiastes. He was one of David’s sons. David was the second king of Israel,
an ancestor of Jesus Christ and a prophet who wrote much of The Book of Psalms.
There is one thing I have meditated on quite a bit over the
years since I finished reading the entire Holy Bible. It is something Solomon
wrote over and over in Ecclesiastes. This scripture has given me a lot of comfort
throughout my trials, tribulations and so much time of seeking God’s face and
wondering, “What on earth am I to do with this life you have given me?”
I want to share it with you to give you comfort as you go
through life. I’m going to add the scripture references with it, in case you
want to look them up yourself. It’s simply this: “…all is vanity and vexation
of spirit…” (Ecclesiastes 1:4, 1:17, 2:11, 2:17, 4:4, 4:6, 4:16, 6:9)
